Hello and welcome. I’m Andy, a third-year BSc Adult Nursing student. I chose Middlesex University because of the warm welcome I received from everyone on the Open Day, and also the friendly approach from the academic team teaching my course. If you choose Middlesex University, you’ll be making an excellent decision!

I chose Middlesex University based on the ‘feel good factor’ when I arrived on my open day, walking into the Ricketts Quadrangle for the very first time. I loved the sense of space and light, and the incredibly warm welcome from the student ambassadors and academic staff. I instantly felt comfortable, and the more I found out about the university and course the more I was impressed.

By far my favourite thing about my course is the opportunity to work in clinical practice as part of the placement element. It gives us an opportunity to develop essential nursing skills, and to practise them on real patients! Clinical placements are provided by the university and we’re partnered with the majority of NHS and private hospitals throughout north London. Whilst undertaking clinical practice, we’re assigned a mentor and a co-mentor (a qualified nurse, usually a senior and who has completed the mentorship and preceptorship courses) to look after us.
